We live in a time where anything can be manufactured, used, and then thrown away. My desire is to create jewelry from antique buttons that have a permanence and tell a story from the past that can be carried into the future. These buttons that were created in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s are exquisite works of art. Vintage Joy Jewelry was created primarily for the love of antique buttons and their rich history. Each piece of my button jewelry is hand-crafted using Victorian, celluloid, Bakelite, Czech glass and rhinestone buttons hand selected from my personal collection. I browse charity shops and antique stores in Europe and the United States for vintage items to incorporate into my jewelry design. Each piece aims to highlight the great skill and artistry of antique buttons. Vintage Joy Jewelry is a place where antique buttons are reborn, bringing the art and history of antique buttons together by making beautiful jewelry for modern day.
